How does a loss limit work, and how are losses calculated?
What is a loss limit?
A loss limit restricts how much money you can lose within a selected time period. Once you reach your loss limit, you cannot continue playing until the time period resets.
How losses are calculated
Losses are calculated as follows when applying your loss limit:
Winnings are excluded - only net losses count toward your loss limit. Winnings are not tracked against the limit.
Rolling period - the system calculates your total losses over the last number of days in your selected period (for example, the last 7 days for a weekly limit), not based on fixed calendar dates.
Bet rejection - if placing a bet would cause your total losses within the rolling period to exceed your set limit, that bet will be rejected before it is placed.
Note: The rolling period calculation means your limit resets on a continuous rolling basis, not at midnight or the start of a calendar week or month.
